GEN2+ LC® liquid crystal based smart film technology
The high-performance GEN2+ LC® polymer dispersed liquid crystal (PDLC) film technology reflects the output of intensive R&D and engineering activities at TETA. The dual-refractive index traits of liquid crystals gives rise to films, whose optical transmittance can be adjusted by using a potential difference.
Adjust optical transmittance as a function of applied voltage
Proprietary PDLC composition resists moisture as well as excessive temperatures
Technologically improved composite film structure permits see-through clarity even at oblique perspectives
Superior optical transmittance and low haze traits

Our Manufacturing Principles
Once again, R&D makes the difference.
From 2014 and onwards, TETA has revamped their PDLC technology at every opportunity. By incorporating cutting-edge advances from in-house research activities – all related to the materials science and chemistry of the smart glass starting materials – TETA continues to offer the best products money can buy.
Raw materials dictate product quality.
To manufacture high-quality PDLC films, TETA utilizes high-purity starting materials. Many key liquid crystals and additives are in fact synthesized within the TETA facility.
The optical traits and performance of all TETA films and laminated smart glass products conform to ASTM standards.
Optimized manufacturing and routine quality control ensures product consistency.
All TETA PDLC films perform equally. TETA’s roll-to-roll process offers the highest manufacturing consistency, eliminating any potential for differences between production batches.
